How it Works
CrossLoop’s underlying technology was created to simplify the process of securely working with others located in different physical locations across diverse network environments. CrossLoop enables you to see the screen and control the mouse and keyboard on a remote computer. It is as if you are working side by side at the same PC. CrossLoop is a powerful productivity tool that enables you to quickly collaborate with anyone in the world.
CrossLoop is powered by the proprietary CrossLoop VIP Tunnel, a secure peer-to-peer data transmission system. CrossLoop encrypts all files and messages exchanged on our network to ensure user privacy. Only you and your invited friends or family can view or share control of your computer. A CrossLoop session can only begin on your computer by explicitly inviting someone to begin a session. All data sent over the CrossLoop network is encrypted at the endpoints using a 128-bit Blowfish encryption. For more detailed information on CrossLoop security, visit our security page.
We have gone to great lengths to ensure that CrossLoop is secure and have designed the application from the ground up with security in mind.
The Windows version of CrossLoop uses the TightVNC software plug-in for screen sharing. We have included a binary distribution of the TightVNC program in the installation software of the Windows version of CrossLoop to save you the trouble of separately downloading and installing TightVNC. If you have any questions about your rights related to TightVNC (which is licensed under GPL), please see our detailed description of how we use VNC.
Starting a Session
After installing CrossLoop, you will see a welcome screen with two tabs. Select the Access tab if you would like to connect and control a friend’s PC. Select the Share tab if you would like to temporarily share your screen and/or control of your PC.
For more detailed information about using CrossLoop please click on one of the links below:
You may download the software here.

How many times have you picked your remote up to find that you have the wrong one in your hand, well the answer is an All-In-One Remote but boy some of them look ugly and do not offer the full controls needed for your many devices. Well that is until now as Logitech has the cool and slick looking Harmony One Universal Remote which can control many devices from DVD’s, TV’s, Blu-Ray Players as well as PC’s and games consoles, such as an Xbox 360 and a Sony PS3. Credit card fraud is a huge problem and it’s getting worse. But it’s not card theft that poses the greatest problem - it’s card cloning.
Inside Out follows the Bedfordshire Police to find out how they are tackling the problem.
A fraudulent card transaction takes place every eight seconds and cloning is the biggest type of credit card fraud.
Last year card fraud losses totalled £424.6 million and the problem is getting worse.
Spending spree
Cloning a credit card takes seconds. Whilst a card is being swiped for payment - dishonest staff can swipe the card details which are downloaded on computer.
A duplicate card is made and until your next credit card statement arrives to alert you - the cloner can spend at will. (more…)

The truth is they never did have total dominance, but at times they have come very close. Microsoft actually entered the Browser Battle quite late on. Infact a man named Neil Larson is credited to be one of the originators of internet browsers, when in 1977 he created a program - The TRS-80 - that allowed browsing between sites via hypertext jumps. This was a DOS program and the basis of much to come. Slowly other browsers powered by DOS and inspired by the TRS 80 were developed. Unfortunately they were often constricted by the limitations of the still fairly young internet itself.
In 1988, Peter Scott and Earle Fogel created a simple, fast browser called Hytelnet, which by 1990 offered users instant logon and access to the online catalogues of over five thousand libraries around the world ? an exhilarating taste of what the internet, and web browsers, would soon be able to offer. The Internet is a very powerful tool as anyone can almost do anything with it. No wonder a lot of people, including me, are addicted browsing online where some even spend most of their time in front of their computers. But don’t you know that aside from all the features you can do with on the net, you can also send text messages from your computer to a cellphone of any network?
This might not be new to most Internet surfers, but I bet there are still some, probably newbies, who are unaware of it. In case you are interested on how to send send text messages from computer to a cellphone, then resume reading below.
Aside from sending text messages, I heard that it is also possible to send ringtone through text messages from a PC and send a text message to a landline phone. Someone even asked me how to send a text message via email (Is this possible?). I haven’t made a research yet about these three capabilities so I am only concentrating on sending text messages from a PC with Internet connection to a mobile phone. (more…)
