The Apple Macbook Air made a statement as it was with a 0.16-0.76 inch height but how about a 24kt Gold Macbook Air with Sapphires, now there is a statement. With all the different pimped products before it including iPods, iPhones and other gadgets getting gold plated, this gold Macbook Air looks stunning and is sure to cost a nice premium.

S. Korea’s First Astronaut Ok After Landing Off-Target

Sunday, April 20th, 2008 85 views

Boston (PacketBytes) - South Korea’s first astronaut Yi So-Yeon is apparently just fine after the Russian space capsule Soyuz landed hundreds of miles off the mark on Saturday. The Soyuz capsule landed in northern Kazakhstan, after returning from the International Space Station.

Since 2003, this is the third time that the landing of the Soyuz space capsule did not go as planned.

According to reports, South Korea’s first astronaut, Yi So-Yeon, is in good shape following the rough landing.

The same goes fro American astronaut Peggy Whitson, as well as Russian flight engineer Yuri Malenchenko. They did suffer a rough trip during re-entry though.

The Soyuz space capsule was returning from the International Space Station, and landed on Saturday at 4:51 a.m. CDT, 260 miles off-target.

It also landed around 20 minutes late. It took search helicopters almost a half-hour before they could locate the capsule and crew.

The ballistic re-entry caused the crew to be hit with some severe G-forces.

Engineers will be examining the capsule to determine exactly what went wrong.

Send SMS from Computer

The Internet is a very powerful tool as anyone can almost do anything with it. No wonder a lot of people, including me, are addicted browsing online where some even spend most of their time in front of their computers. But don’t you know that aside from all the features you can do with on the net, you can also send text messages from your computer to a cellphone of any network?

This might not be new to most Internet surfers, but I bet there are still some, probably newbies, who are unaware of it. In case you are interested on how to send send text messages from computer to a cellphone, then resume reading below.

Aside from sending text messages, I heard that it is also possible to send ringtone through text messages from a PC and send a text message to a landline phone. Someone even asked me how to send a text message via email (Is this possible?). I haven’t made a research yet about these three capabilities so I am only concentrating on sending text messages from a PC with Internet connection to a mobile phone. (more…)

Is Blogging Killing Us Technology Bloggers?

Friday, April 11th, 2008 106 views

Here’s a little health report of some of the notable bloggers we know. Matt of Gizmodo passed out a few times and were unreachable; Michael Arrington of TechCrunch suffered from severe sleep disorder and was hospitalized for couple of times because of nervous breakdown; Om Malik of GigaOM had an heart attack but survived. Pretty scary huh, here more - Russell Shaw died at of heart attack, and Marc Orchant, died of a massive coronary. All tech bloggers.

The fact is that tech bloggers, particularly the probloggers live a different life than the rest. Lifestyle bloggers for instance, write whenever they feels like to, no pressure. In the technology blogosphere, being amongst the first to cover tech news is considered highly important. But perhaps we overlooked something more important - our health ?

A lot of bloggers aim to convert themselves full time, a pro blogger. One often sees lots of advantages being full time blogger and often, missed to see there’s also the negative side. Yes, there’s maximum time flexibility but that also means you could be blogging at any hours and resulted your body to missed the regular sleeping hours. I noticed myself consumed more caffeines and nicotines after going full time. LiewCF put on weight, waking up when most people are sleeping. And because you need to do more blogging after converted to full time, some bloggers even start to lose passion and slack off.

It takes a little bit of self discipline to overcome these. Well yeah, it’s easy to say but from my point of view, it’s hard to implement.

Inadequate domain names or a low quality web hosting can kill the advertising pitch and destroy the entire scheme of online marketing.
